The Giving Garden: How to Improve the Planet from the Ground Up
Let’s save our planet together, one garden at a time!
Our flower and shrub gardens are more than mere decorative spaces. They are fundamental to creating and supporting a healthy ecosystem that will help to sustain our planet.
In honor of Earth Day, we welcome gardening aficionado and former Master Gardener Susan Salis for a special talk that will focus on ways home gardeners can:
- Attract and protect a variety of pollinators
- Add plants that will feed and protect birds
- Reduce or eliminate fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides
- Attract and protect beneficial insects
- Save water
- Repurpose everyday items as garden décor
Not all superheroes wear capes – sometimes old pants and gloves will do!
Two Dates Offered!
- Tuesday, April 23 at 7 pm
- Wednesday, April 24 at 2 pm
