In this illustrated talk, City Archivist and sixth-generation Pittsburgher Charles Succop takes a deep dive into the newly accessible online archives, focusing on the collection's treasure trove of photographs and film.

Let’s stroll through pictures of the past to experience the city like never before. It’s time to get nebby in the neighborhood!

Bio: Charles Succop is a sixth-generation Pittsburgher who has worked in the Pittsburgh City Archives since 2017. He holds a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Community & Regional Planning and Geography from Appalachian State University and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh. Outside of work, Charles runs three Instagram accounts focusing on different aspects of local history, serves on the Squirrel Hill Historical Society board, and recently co-authored a book about Pittsburgh’s city steps.
