Susanna Reilly, Cello
A native of Los Angeles, Susanna Reilly performed in her family piano trio at an early age. She founded a professional string quartet in high school and an award-winning piano trio at California State University, Northridge, where she studied with Peter Rejto and earned her Bachelor’s in Music. In 1995 she received her Master’s in Music Performance from Carnegie Mellon University, studying with Anne Martindale Williams. There, she formed ensembles which were awarded the prestigious Silberman Chamber Music prize for two consecutive years.

Susanna participated in the Taos, Blomstedt, L.A. Philharmonic Institute, Chautauqua and Roundtop music festivals, toured the (then) Soviet Union with string quartet, and is a silhouette in the movie Fantasia 2000. She has been the featured soloist in both the Dvorak and Shostakovich concertos.
Since 2006, she has been on the Adjunct Faculty at Allegheny College, where she can be heard in solo and chamber music concerts. Susanna performs in regional orchestras including the Wheeling and Youngstown symphonies and is a founding member of Sterling and Strings.
