Join the Society for Creative Anachronism as we step back in time and whirl into the world of medieval and Renaissance dance! This light-hearted, beginner-friendly class explores simple European dances from the 14th–17th centuries.

No experience? No problem! Renaissance and English Country dances share familiar foundations with modern square, line, and contra dancing, so you’ll quickly find your footing. We’ll sample dances that range from graceful and slow to delightfully brisk, all while keeping the focus on fun, community, and the joy of moving together.

Perfect for all ages, this class invites you to promenade, circle, and sidestep your way through history. Just bring comfortable shoes that glide easily across the floor—thick treads can make medieval magic a bit tricky—and prepare to smile your way through centuries of social dance tradition.

Come dance like it’s 1499!
