Program Description

Event Details

Kids in grades 3 and up are invited to join us for Maker Monday! A makerspace is a place for hands-on learning with all the tools for creativity. Every month will have a different theme and different tools for the kids to use. Examples include robotics, 3D pens, circuits, and more! Projects will be hands-on, open-ended and encourage inventiveness and problem-solving skills.

Unleash your inner mad scientist! In this hands-on Maker Monday, kids will take apart old toys and reassemble the pieces in weird and wonderful ways to create their own wild creature — just like Dr. Frankenstein!

Explore how things are made, practice tool skills, and get creative with your monstrous invention. Materials will be provided, but if you have old toys that you want to get rid of, like action figures, stuffed animals, dolls, Happy Meal toys, or Barbies, please bring them to the program.
