Program Description

Event Details

Join us for an engaging and informative bee information session led by experienced beekeeper, Howard Mincone! This interactive presentation introduces the basics of honeybees and beekeeping, offering a behind-the-scenes look at life inside a hive. Learn how honeybees live and work together, why they are so important to our environment, and how beekeepers care for them throughout the year.

Howard will bring real beekeeping equipment to see up close and share fun, memorable stories from working with honeybees. You’ll also discover simple, practical ways the general public can help support honeybees, native bees, and other beneficial insects—right in your own yard or community.

Perfect for all ages, this session blends education, storytelling, and hands-on learning to inspire curiosity and appreciation for the tiny pollinators that play a big role in our world.
