Join Brandon for a fun discussion of a variety of films from John Wayne to Shirley Temple. Each month, we'll discuss two thematically-paired films and look "behind the scenes" to unpack each their historical significance, stylistic choices, and meanings.

You may laugh, you may cry, you may even raise an eyebrow and wonder "What was that?", but you'll certainly be affected. They don't call 'em moving pictures for nothing!

This month's selections: Exils (2004) and Mr. Lonely (2007)

Theme: "Travel Agency"

Exils: A pair of footloose bohemian lovers living in Paris decide to cross France and Spain to return to their roots in Algeria, to begin a long journey of discovery.

 

Mr. Lonely: A disillusioned Michael Jackson impersonator finds faith and love when he meets a Marilyn Monroe impersonator who takes him to a remote Scottish island where impersonators are free to live their lives as their beloved celebrities.
